Good Things from People Working Together

The natural outcome of embracing the extravagant love of Jesus is that his love flows through us into the community around us. Specifically, we want to live out the prayer of Jesus in Matthew 6. He was teaching his followers how to pray and part of his model prayer was that God's will would be experienced "on earth as it is in Heaven." It's not meant to just be something that we experience after our bodies die. It's meant to be experienced here and now!

This is a reflection of the Jewish concept of Shalom. Shalom means complete, perfect and full. When God created everything, it was perfect. Sin disconnected us from God's perfect creation though. The connection was broken. In Jesus, we get to be reconnected to the Shalom of God. So, whenever we see something being made right through Jesus, we are experiencing "on earth as it is in Heaven."

In light of that, we desire to look around and ask "Where are the broken places where we can bring Jesus?" These are the places we are called to go. Whether it's serving a need in our own church or tackling a need in the community-at-large, we are called to serve. You will find just some of these places in this section of our site but there are many more taking place at various times.

We are directly involved in the following local projects:

  • Freedom Women's Center (helping women in need)
  • Set Free Movement (fight against human trafficking)
  • Service Projects for local non-profits
